The Northeast Dragon Boat Challenge is held at scenic Cooper River Park in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey.
This event takes place on our custom course with excellent sightlines from the athlete’s village.
Paddlers of all skill levels are welcome.
Community teams will compete in three 200 meter races.
Sport teams will compete in three 500 meter races and a 2000 meter race for those teams that qualify.
Registration will open on January 10, 2025 to teams of all levels – Community to Sport.

This family-friendly event offers a day of fun, culture and competition.
Anyone can participate in the Northeast Dragon Boat Challenge.
All you need are twenty friends, family members or co-workers!
Teams can register up to 24 paddlers, a drummer and a steersperson.
A steersperson will be provided for those teams who need one.
Cooper River Park is home to many prestigious events. Ideal paddling conditions exist on the Cooper River which boasts a world-class narrow and sheltered straightaway.
